Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • Champion change management and continuous improvement across all operational functions.
  • Lead and direct operations to meet volume, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Develop and implement production plans, ensuring alignment with business forecasts and customer demands.
  • Continuously monitor plant performance, implementing solutions to minimise downtime and improve productivity.
  • Drive a culture of safety and compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee engineering processes, equipment maintenance, and capital projects to ensure operational reliability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant equipment availability, performance, and life cycle.
  • Ensure production quality meets industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Develop and enforce quality control systems, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, inventory, and logistics to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Develop vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimise cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to monitor and control budgets, operational costs, and capital expenditures.
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation to improve profit margins.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage workforce planning, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, leadership, and operational excellence among employees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong track record of managing production, engineering, supply chain, and quality operations.
  • Experience working within a matrix organisational structure.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, drive cost efficiency, and deliver operational results.
