PeopleSoft Finance Senior Analyst

The PeopleSoft Finance & General Ledger Senior Analyst will be responsible for high‑level support of Finance and General Ledger modules, providing maintenance, support, and improvements. This Poland‑based role supports USA and Western Europe and works closely with a third‑party Application Managed Support offshore team. The AMS team handles routine tasks, deferring to this role for issues requiring deeper expertise. The role is ideal for an analytical thinker who takes ownership of tasks and sees them to completion.

Key Skills

• PeopleSoft 8.4 Finance and General Ledger
• Strong understanding of GL finance processes, reporting, and integration with AP/AR/PO
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to resolve complex functional issues
• Effective communication with finance and IT stakeholders
• SQL skills preferred
• Languages: English and Polish required; additional languages are a plus

Desirable Skills

• PeopleSoft AR, Inventory, Asset Management, Project Costing experience
• Financial experience or strong understanding of financial matters
• UK and European VAT knowledge preferred
• Experience with incident management and IT service management (ITSM) tools

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Ensure the maintenance of the GL, identifying any issues brought to attention
• Serve as subject‑matter expert (SME) for PeopleSoft GL processes including journals, ledgers, allocations, reporting, inter‑company transactions, and reconciliations
• Provide support for incidents, queries, and service requests related to PeopleSoft GL
• Investigate and resolve issues escalated from AMS, coordinating with technical teams when necessary
• Support associated modules where GL integration is required (AP, AR, PO)
• Collaborate with business finance stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and work to resolution, delegating to offshore teams as needed
• Collaborate with process leads on VAT changes or other cross‑module changes required
• Prepare data for transition to SAP
• Assist with testing efforts for PeopleSoft and SAP if required
• Troubleshoot development and production application problems
• Perform high‑level month‑end and year‑end checks on the GL to ensure batches have completed successfully
• Build relationships with business users and advise on requests for reports, audits, or changes
• Gather information from meetings with business users and produce output as required
• Prioritize requests and create change requests if needed
• Provide business users with operational support on how to complete tasks, if required
• Develop strong working relationships with the EMEA and Global PeopleSoft teams as well as other IT and business members
