You will join an international Data Office responsible for delivering data-driven innovation across the organization. The department consists of approximately 20 professionals and is rapidly scaling its engineering capabilities.
The role focuses on leading a team of ~15 engineers operating within an Agile SCRUM environment. You will work closely with the Head of Data, Product Owners, Architects, and Tech Leads to ensure team performance, capability growth, and alignment with strategic objectives.
The mission of this position is to build a high-performing engineering organization, establish a strong Center of Excellence, and cultivate a collaborative culture that supports continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development. The environment leverages modern cloud-based data platforms (AWS/GCP) and emphasizes Agile leadership, coaching, and empowerment.
responsibilities :
Lead and manage a team of approximately 15 engineers within the Data Office
Build and maintain a high-performing team culture aligned with organizational values
Establish and drive team rituals supporting collaboration, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement
Coach and mentor engineers using a formal development framework, supporting career growth and performance development
Act as a people leader responsible for engagement, wellbeing, and performance management
Drive the creation of a Data Engineering Center of Excellence, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
Own the full talent lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, development, and retention
Support Agile ways of working, guiding teams in SCRUM delivery and removing impediments
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Tech Leads to ensure strategic alignment
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership regarding people strategy and organizational growth
Ensure clarity of objectives, foster trust, and empower teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Promote innovation and continuous improvement within a cloud-based engineering environment
Support cross-functional collaboration across international teams
Contribute to workforce planning and capability development
requirements-expected :
Minimum 4 years of experience managing technical teams (10+ FTE) in tech, digital, or e-commerce environments
Proven experience leading engineering teams to deliver against business objectives
Hands-on experience in Agile leadership roles (Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or similar)
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM, iterative delivery, team facilitation)
Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers
Ability to act as a trusted advisor on People Strategy and organizational growth
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong relationship-building capabilities across technical and business teams
