Join the Global Cybersecurity team of one of the largest financial institutions in the world as a Security Principal Researcher. The department is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information, technology, and cybersecurity risks by ensuring these are well-understood, and that controls used to manage such events are defined, assessed, and implemented appropriately.

Your Role

  1. Follow the security testing process and report any gaps or opportunities for improvement to your supervisor.
  2. Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure security testing requirements are met and help automate repetitive testing tasks.
  3. Develop an understanding of business functionality and apply testing methodology appropriate to technology and risk.
  4. Code and demonstrate basic proof-of-concept exploits.
  5. Assist in coordinating security test projects according to a structured process, including writing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  6. Advise on the remediation of security vulnerabilities, implementation of controls, and secure development practices.
  7. Assess the risk and complexity of product release and identify potential misuse scenarios by reviewing business requirements and design specifications.
  8. Assist in tracking, remediating, and accepting identified vulnerabilities.
  9. Ensure company security policies are implemented, enforced, and improved as necessary.

Your Skills

  1. At least 3 years of prior demonstrable hands-on experience in penetration testing.
  2. Solid understanding of the platform security models for iOS and Android platforms.
  3. Practical knowledge of penetration testing of widely understood infrastructure, web, and mobile technologies, using manual and automated testing methods.
  4. Excellent TCP/IP knowledge and understanding of security implications/issues.
  5. Strong web application testing experience.
  6. Proven programming/scripting skills.
  7. Good understanding of the applied use of cryptography in application development.
  8. Proficiency in the English language at an advanced level is required.
