We are launching a greenfield, enterprise-scale implementation of a visa application process platform based on Pega. The objective is to streamline and digitalize visa submission and processing procedures across more than 200 German embassies worldwide.

Beyond comprehensive process digitalization, a key pillar of the initiative is the integration of all involved public institutions and external stakeholders into a unified, secure ecosystem.

The project will scale progressively over the coming months, with the first production release planned for the end of 2026. You will join an international delivery team as a Senior System Architect (SSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA), actively contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade Pega solutions.

In parallel, we deliver additional international Pega programs. Candidates strongly aligned with our requirements may also be considered for future engagements, depending on their expertise and seniority.

PEGA System Architect (SSA / LSA)

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain application components on the Pega platform
• Implement full end-to-end case life cycle, including: Case types and flows Data model and data pages Business rules Integrations (REST / SOAP / file-based interfaces) User interface components
• Ensure strict compliance with Pega guardrails, design patterns, and engineering best practices
• Contribute to solution design, estimations, and refinement sessions
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to System Architects and junior developers (SSA/LSA level)
• Collaborate closely with Business Architects, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists
• Contribute to continuous improvement, DevOps practices, and engineering standards
• Provide architectural leadership and technical governance
• Define and safeguard the technical direction of the solution
• Oversee multiple parallel delivery streams

Our requirements

• Valid Pega certification: SSA or LSA – mandatory
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Pega development
• Proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise-grade Pega applications
• Practical experience with Pega 8.x (case types, flows, UI, rules, data pages)
• Strong integration expertise: REST, SOAP, file interfaces
• Personal security clearance – nice to have
• Experience in the German public sector – nice to have
