Payroll Specialist with Ukrainian, Polish and English
Alcon is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist fluent in Ukrainian, Polish, and English to manage payroll operations across Ukraine, Poland, and Kazakhstan.
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly payroll operations for assigned countries.
- Create and maintain payroll reports and coordinate with local HR.
- Support legally required processes in collaboration with authorities (e.g., tax provider).
- Provide support for international equity and incentive statements and warrants, ensuring correct taxation and accruals.
- Reconcile payroll data with FRA and participate in financial reporting.
- Perform payroll audits and controls following the established checklist.
- Collect, review, and aggregate payroll data inputs from multiple upstream sources.
- Monitor supplier payroll processing and compliance activities, reviewing outputs for completeness and accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries and requests in line with agreed service levels.
- Handle complex or confidential inquiries, assuming ownership of escalated issues.
- Collaborate with other functional areas (Timekeeping, Benefits, Compensation, etc.) to gather payroll inputs efficiently.
- Deliver data and reports to downstream users (Finance, third parties, statutory authorities) on time.
- Request funding for payroll, payroll taxes, and other third‑party payments; ensure Treasury actions.
- Work with other Alcon functional areas and third‑party suppliers to seamlessly deliver end‑to‑end payroll services.
What Youll Bring
- Passion for payroll operations and attention to detail.
- Fluency in Ukrainian, Polish, and English.
- Experience with foreign payroll systems, particularly Polish.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Polish or Ukrainian payroll processing, in‑house or outsourced.
- Excellent customer‑service orientation.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced project environment.
- Time‑management expertise.
- Experience in transition (e.g., payroll system migration) is a plus.
- Effective use of technology and payroll supplier tools to ensure accurate processing.
- Ability to explain payroll processes and results clearly to employees.
