Purpose of the Role

Lead and manage payroll operations across Poland, ensuring full compliance with Polish labor law and collective agreements. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate, timely, and legally compliant payroll services, particularly within unionized production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Management:
  • Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for all Polish entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Manage payroll for complex shift patterns and collective labor agreements typical of production sites.
• Legal Compliance:
  • Ensure payroll operations fully comply with Polish labor law, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
  • Monitor legislative changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments to payroll processes.
• Unionized Environment Expertise:
  • Collaborate with Local P&O business partner, Finance and legal teams to ensure payroll reflects collective bargaining agreements and union‑negotiated terms.
  • Support audits and reporting related to unionized workforce compensation and benefits.
• Vendor & System Oversight:
  • Manage relationships with external payroll providers and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Oversee payroll system configuration and data integrity, ensuring alignment with local legal and operational requirements.
• Reporting & Controls:
  • Ensure accurate reporting to government authorities (e.g., ZUS, US, PFRON).
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support internal/external audits.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Partner with Finance, P&O Business Partners, and Legal teams to ensure seamless payroll integration and issue resolution.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee payroll queries, especially in production environments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in payroll leadership roles in Poland, ideally within manufacturing or production sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Polish labor law, payroll taxation, and social security regulations.
• Experience working in unionized environments, with understanding of collective agreements and their impact on payroll.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Excel; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential data.
