For our client, an American MedTech company, we are looking for a Payroll Analyst with German who will support the German-speaking markets.

Requirements

  1. 3+ years of experience in in-house payroll
  2. Advanced knowledge of English and German
  3. Working knowledge of Accurat HCM system is essential
  4. Excellent understanding of German labour law
  5. Preferred additional experience within an international shared service environment, with a minimum of 12 months’ experience
  6. Qualification/BSc in Payroll, accounting, business management or a related field
  7. Working knowledge of SuccessFactors and ServiceNow, SAP would be considered as an advantage
  8. Track record of continuous improvement and always striving to be the best in class
  9. Excellent communication, writing and facilitation skills
  10. Strong personal leadership and influencing skills
  11. Positive and collaborative attitude
  12. Analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
  13. Open to business travels (ca. twice per year for max. 3 days)

Responsibilities

  1. Support in the processing of scheduled payroll for Nordics using EMEA-wide payroll processes/procedures
  2. Serve as point of contact for Tax Office, healthcare institutions and others
  3. Provide support as 2nd line for German-speaking markets
  4. Extraction of variable input data and population of upload templates
  5. Review and resolve pay related queries from employees within ServiceNow
  6. Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Finance and other internal units to ensure payroll is accurate and on time
  7. Continuing partnering with payroll vendors to ensure the delivery of best-in-class service
  8. Champion the culture of continuous improvement by optimizing, standardizing and implementing automation into processes in collaboration with EMEA Payroll team members
  9. Possess excellent time management skills with the ability to deliver under pressurized deadlines
  10. Becoming the Subject Matter Expert in specific payroll processes
  11. Liaise with company and external auditors to ensure total compliance with internal and external requirements
  12. Participate in GBS and Global Payroll projects by driving improvement initiatives, leading small projects or project steps within a broader project
  13. Supports team members by setting an example, coaching and providing feedback and guidance
  14. Execute payroll accounting activities (journals preparation and posting, month end closure, reconciliation)
  15. Processing of pension payments, review cost, and reconciliation of payments
  16. Update documentation with any process changes
  17. Other ad-hoc responsibilities
