Payroll & Time Management Team Manager with German

The position

We are looking for a passionate Team Manager for Payroll & Time Management to lead our German team, ensuring compliance, process excellence, and staff development.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Professional end‑to‑end service delivery of Payroll & Time Management for Germany.
  • Lead a diverse team, uphold company values, deliver outstanding customer experiences, drive business process excellence, and foster people development.
  • Maintain employee data, process tax issues, onboard new hires, manage terminations, handle interfaces, and audit payroll data for accuracy.
  • Create time‑specific reports, conduct quality management, and perform annual time‑management activities (e.g., holiday entitlement submission).
  • Handle inquiries related to Payroll and Time Management through phone, email, and case‑management system.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, manage escalations, and apply strong communication, social, and technical skills.
  • Lead projects in a target‑driven environment, ensuring process adherence during operational activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in end‑to‑end payroll processing and time management administration in the German market.
  • Fluency in German and English at a minimum C1 level.
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a Hire‑to‑Retire Shared Services environment, including 3 years of team leadership.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Psychology or similar (preferably in HR).
  • Distinct empathy, team spirit, accountability, intrapreneurship, and a high service quality orientation.
  • Positive approach, role model in speak‑up culture, and ideas for process optimizations.
  • Resilience and proven ability to independently address complex issues in a solution‑oriented style during transformation.
  • Experience in Process Transition & Transformation.
  • Working knowledge of SAP HCM, ServiceNow, MS Office (advanced Excel), and SuccessFactors.
