We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Parts Purchaser to join our team!

Purpose of the position

• The Parts Purchaser does the operational purchasing of spare parts and manages any deviations in lead times, quality, and billing of the supplied parts. The role also includes a high amount of communication as the daily bridge between suppliers and the rest of the organization.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Spare parts procurement according to planning parameters.
• Proactively identify risk of deviations in supply and act to avoid these.
• Managing international supplier base, in collaboration with sourcing, to ensure supplier performance according to requirements.
• Collaborate with part planners to ensure parts availability by working with suppliers to improve lead times when required.
• Keep customer service informed on expected delivery dates on parts with backorders.
• Reviewing supplier invoices.
• Continuously develop purchase process.

Key accountabilities:

• Delivering high supply accuracy on stocked spare parts and urgency on orders containing parts with backorders.
• Maintain high availability of information on the process of purchase orders.
• Deviations handling on purchase and billing process.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Academic education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or corresponding knowledge acquired through work experience.
• Structured and well organized.
• High sense of urgency and customer-centric mind-set.
