We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Parts Assortment Engineer to join our team!
Purpose of the position
Parts Assortment Engineer manage and optimise the assortment of parts and components required for a particular product or project. Responsible for the spare parts enquiries related to part assortment for internal and external stakeholders.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for part assortment management.
- Perform customer request handling via JIRA, use of SAP - ERP system, Windchill, Product Data Management and C-Service.
- Create and maintain parts in ERP and Product Data Management systems with complete master data according to parts breakdown policy.
- Actively manage the prevention of duplicates and simplification in the parts assortment.
- Responsible for the quality of defined parts master data and Service BOMs into ERP, Product Data Management and Product Lifecycle Management systems.
- Ensure the parts readiness in New Product Development/Product Lifetime Care projects and its checklists implementation.
- Ensure alignment of our part assortment with the parts catalogues teams (C-Service).
- Collaborate with the team in case of retrofit or upgrades kit creation.
- Support the Webshop team for translations, data management and attributes.
- Uses judgement, initiative and experience to deal with technical service and support issues.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Relevant and completed education in Electrical, Hydraulic and/or mechanical engineering.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar position as an added value.
- 5 years of relevant experience in a technical/commercial role in a service environment.
- Relevant experience with Product Data Management and ERP systems will be an asset.
- Team player.
- High integrity and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Well-developed and effective verbal and written communication skills used in working with peers and employees at all levels of the organisation.
