This is a new role within the EMEA Primary Market Research team (Primary Intelligence) to provide the connection between the needs of the client facing business and the significantly sized market research panels held at IQVIA. The postholder will ensure that the physician and patient panels are managed, developed and improved in accordance with the needs of clients. This will support the deployment of AI tools to improve productivity on survey deployment and development and implementation of strategies to increase internal use of the IQVIA panels.

The postholder would be responsible for providing strategic guidance to the panel deployment teams based on the needs they have identified from the client facing business. Responsibility would include identifying and deploying the latest processes, tools and techniques, including AI tools, ensuring optimal panel performance in terms of utilisation and key performance indicators, and determine where and how the panel needs to grow to meet client needs. In addition, we anticipate the postholder would bring innovation into how surveys are more effectively deployed to respondents to improve the respondent experience and optimise response rates

It is expected that the postholder will have experience of bringing innovation and change management to delivery teams and have a deep understanding and experience in the data management and market research industries.

Core activities of the role include:

  • Panel strategy and respondent experience
    • Develop and deploy strategies for panel growth including recruitment and retention activities
    • Track and develop action plans based on key panel metrics, such as response rates
    • Design and implement engagement strategies to improve the respondent experience and increase levels of engagement
    • Act as the central point of contact between the panel deployment team and the Primary Intelligence business in EMEA
    • Expand the use of the panel internally through increasing survey types which can be deployed
    • Reduce spend on external panels due to the quality and experience of using the IQVIA panel
  • Panel operation and maintenance
    • Ensure accurate and up to date panel records and validation
    • Track and report on panel engagement and performance metrics. Provide recommendations for action or change based on evidence
    • Ensure the core panel is a cohesive source of respondents, which combines locally held panels in a meaningful way
    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to survey delivery or panel access
    • Deploy innovative data collection and respondent retention tools across the panel, including AI tools, to optimise recruitment times and set up of surveys
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
    • Set consistent standards for panel use, e.g. honoraria payments
  • Industry participation
    • Monitor innovation across the industry in terms of panel management to ensure the IQVIA panel is market leading
    • Play an active role in industry discussions and forums relating to operational excellence around panel management.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the champion for the physicians and patients who have consented to be part of the IQVIA panel. These people are more than respondents, they are key stakeholders in the healthcare environment. It is the role of the panel manager to ensure that they are well managed and that their voice is heard efficiently and effectively.

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years working experience, with at least a significant portion in service firms (e.g., Consulting, Primary Market Research and / or support services for CROs)
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of panel management operations and deployment of new ways of working with panellists
  • Vision for where and how AI enabled tools can fit (e.g. automated coding, chatbot-led prompting etc)
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high level of innovation
  • Excellent networker, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal leaders and external clients
  • Ability to influence and lead through example
  • Desirable experience managing large cross-functional teams based across geographic time zones
