Come join us at Volvo Groups P2P Team as an Accountant with French. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Accountant with proficiency in French to join our Finance Team. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from our office 4 days a month and remotely for the remainder. The ideal candidate will have experience in Accounts Payable, strong knowledge of SAP, and excellent French language skills.

You will play a crucial role in our Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and process accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Verify and reconcile invoices, ensuring correct coding and approval.
  3. Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
  4. Communicate effectively with French-speaking vendors and internal stakeholders via telephone/e-mail.
  5. Utilize SAP for processing and reporting accounts payable transactions.
  6. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  7. Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  8. Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
  9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function (Lean mindset).
  10. Handle vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional Teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  12. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  3. Fluency in French, both written and spoken.
  4. Proficiency in English is required.
  5. Strong working knowledge of SAP is essential.
  6. Passion for precision, excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a Team.
  9. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities in order to work with international Teams.
  10. Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, as well as thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
