Job Overview
The Order Management Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the order processing team. This role involves leading a team of order management specialists, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, and collaborating with other departments to optimize the order fulfilment process.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the order management team to achieve performance goals.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, create a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues promptly.
- Oversee the end-to-end order processing cycle, from order entry to shipment and delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to resolve any order-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Streamline order management procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, and other relevant information.
- Work closely with customer service teams to address customer inquiries and concerns related to orders.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate regular reports on order processing metrics and KPIs.
- Analyse data to identify trends, make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in order management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with order management systems and ERP software.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.
- Well organized and high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience in building relationships with key internal customers based on trust and confidence.
- Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain, finance, sales, marketing, and project management functions.
- Mathematical/statistical abilities.
