Your responsibilities

  • Provide database support and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot database related problems, support incidents and changes
  • Deliver new Oracle database services
  • Perform database migrations to new systems and new software releases
  • Work with multiple database servers and complex database environments

Our requirements

  • Experience in administrating Oracle database systems on Linux/Unix based platforms
  • Deep understanding of database design, installation and configuration, database monitoring tools and disaster recovery solutions
  • Availability for on-call support (approximately one weekend a month)
  • Database performance management and tuning
  • SQL & PL/SQL languages and SQL tuning
  • Backup and recovery with RMAN / Data Pump
  • Database monitoring with Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • Knowledge of MySQL, Postgres, DB2 database systems
  • Experience with Cloud (preferably Azure)
  • Team playing – ability to interact with multiple teams and different levels of personnel within the organization
  • Solving problems and analytical skills – ability to independently identify, define, assess problems and take action to address them
