Role Summary

As part of the External Manufacturing organization, the Operations Project Manager is a core member of the Virtual Plant Team (VPT), which includes Quality, MSAT, Procurement, and Supply Chain. This role provides oversight to contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and oversees all stages of VPT priority projects in collaboration with cross-functional global teams. The ideal candidate has a project management foundation and a passion for building and improving standard work processes and tools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operations support to the VPT with oversight to one or more CMOs.
• Develop and use standard work processes and tools for operations project management, including:
• Meeting agendas, minutes, and action items
• Visual dashboards related to performance, risks, and project status
• Creation and management of project plans (schedule, communication, stakeholder, risk, escalation)
• Planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing priority projects
• Monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
• VPT roadmap, snapshot, batch tracker, exceptions and actions tracker, customer requests, SOWs; ORM scheduling and preparation

• Project Management: Serve as project manager for priority VPT projects (e.g., tech transfers, process improvements, product or market launches, business process improvements).
• Plan and execute projects/tasks aligned with Industry and External Manufacturing Business Excellence (PMO, DDIS, OpEx).
• Support ad-hoc cross-functional ExM projects/tasks as needed.

• Performance Management: Support data collection and reporting of KPIs via established processes and dashboards; develop and manage mitigation plans to improve performance.
• Risk Management: Support data collection and reporting related to raw material and CMO risk assessments; help develop mitigation plans and manage risk initiatives.
• Crisis Management: Assist in crisis management planning and execution, including stakeholder communication, resource management, and post-crisis review for continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Apply continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve productivity; investigate and implement new tools for documentation tracking, metrics, and data management.

Education and Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in a scientific or engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Other Relevant Information

• Position is fully remote
• Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required
