Job Title: Freelance Operations Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and hybrid systems) in Poland. This freelance role offers flexibility with a hybrid work model—combining remote work and on-site visits in Gdańsk and project locations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth project execution, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations for renewable energy projects from construction through commissioning and operational phases; ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and service providers; promote safety and sustainability practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Polish and EU regulations, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements; maintain documentation for audits and reporting.
- Performance Management: Monitor operational KPIs and implement efficiency strategies; oversee maintenance schedules and resolve operational issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main contact for clients, suppliers, and local authorities; provide progress updates to senior management and investors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations or project management within renewable energy.
- Strong knowledge of wind and/or solar technologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Polish.
- Familiarity with Polish energy regulations and permitting processes.
Preferred Experience
- Previous freelance or consultancy experience.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and asset management tools.
- PMP or similar certification.
- Duration: Project-based 12 months (likely extension).
- Work Model: Hybrid (remote + on-site in Gdańsk and project sites).
