As a Design Engineer in the Advanced Technology Thermal Systems Design team, you will support the thermal design of engine components (combustor and turbine). This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to new technology projects for jet engines and develop your thermal design and analytical skills.
In this role you will use FLIGHT DECK practices to support initiatives that improve the Integrated Manufacturing Engineering function. You will collaborate with adjacent functions to coordinate metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross‑functional initiatives, helping the team achieve service, quality, and timeliness objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the tracking and reporting of process metrics, KPIs, and operational metrics, including headcount, budget, and data analysis to inform short‑term strategy.
- Apply foundational knowledge of engineering processes and practices that support part manufacturing and producibility. Contribute to the execution of strategy within the area of responsibility.
- Identify straightforward internal and external business challenges and apply established best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stay aware of industry trends relevant to assigned tasks.
- Evaluate the quality of information provided, ask clarifying questions to stakeholders, and provide recommendations within defined parameters. Assist in implementing solutions using internal sources and limited external inputs.
- Participate in functional teams or projects with low resource requirements, risk, and complexity. Communicate concepts clearly and collaborate with others to achieve alignment. Provide input to guide team members toward shared goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Solid experience in a technical Design, Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering role.
- Good level of English.
