Join to apply for the Operations Engineer role at Keepit in Krakow, Poland. Keepit is looking for a Linux-based Operations Engineer to join our team.

We are growing fast as a company and provide SaaS cloud-based backup services to a global audience. Our platform offers an immutable historical archive of customer data in systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Entra ID, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk, protecting against ransomware and accidents. Most back-end components are written in clean, modern C++ and some components for business processes and data mining use Common Lisp. Everything runs on Linux. Backing up billions of objects over foreign APIs with imperfect networks on systems with finite memory is a challenging task.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 24/7 operations team that monitors, maintains and troubleshoots our global cloud service operations
• Monitor the health and performance of the systems
• Develop and extend automation tooling
• Support hardware and software, and maintain documentation for daily operations
• Deploy and operate Linux in a data center environment

Required skills

• Networking skills: firewalling, NAT, VLAN, TCP/IP
• Solid Debian/Ubuntu experience
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and familiarity with the command line
• Good verbal and written English
• Structure and discipline
• Experience with Postgres and Pacemaker/Corosync
• Familiarity with ISO27001, ISAE3402
