Operational Resilience Program Manager, ITSCM
AXA XL is looking for an experienced Program Manager to oversee Operational Resilience initiatives focusing on IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) and IT Resilience (ITR) for the Wrocław, Poland site. The role ensures the continued delivery of critical business services and compliance with U.S. and EU regulations such as DORA.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute medium to large‑scale disaster recovery exercises/tests for data centers and offices.
- Track and follow up on issues encountered during ITSCM/DR exercises; identify gaps and report progress.
- Drive business impact analyses and risk assessments to define critical IT systems.
- Create and update ITSCM/DR governance, documentation, and standards.
- Recommend recovery time/point objectives and establish resources for successful recovery.
- Assist crisis and incident teams with recovery and incident‑management plan documentation.
- Monitor readiness, conduct on‑going infrastructure reviews, and maintain the ITSCM/DR certification process.
- Perform data center operations and capacity planning in coordination with AXA XL technology groups.
- Ensure testing outputs are reviewed, approved and filed.
- Develop and implement ITSCM/DR methodologies and tools.
- Adhere to industry standards (e.g. DRII) and support annual strategic risk assessments.
- Provide recovery support during disaster or business interruption events.
- Build and maintain partnership with Global Technology, Procurement, Third‑Party Risk Management, and security functions.
- Write and maintain documentation in a central repository.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, manage stakeholder communication, and defend controls.
- Interface with senior IT managers across regions.
Qualifications
- Experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, IT service continuity, or related fields.
- Experience in IT operations, infrastructure, change management, and third‑party vendor management.
- Prior experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and manage medium to large‑scale projects.
- Strong prioritization and resource‑management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English; additional language skills (e.g., French, Spanish) a plus.
- Technical knowledge of IT disaster recovery planning, tools, and data replication technologies.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, VMware, NetApp, RecoverPoint, or similar technologies.
- Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Microsoft Azure Architect, or equivalent are a plus.
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
