The Operational Product Manager acts as the interfacing function between various departments in Operations to lead and coordinate the full Life Cycle Management of diverse QIAGENs biotechnological instruments. Enabling the full availability of our products to our global customers, improve the operational hardware and monitoring the ecosystems health status are hereby key objectives, achieved by the coordination of owned projects, contribution to team projects as well as the short-term and creative resolution of emerged problems in task forces.
- Manage life cycle of instruments and ecosystems from launch to discontinuation, focusing on improvements and cost reductions.
- Lead and contribute to projects related to supply chain stabilization, product implementation, and supplier changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external partners.
- Implement new products through SAP activities and coordinate interdisciplinary tasks.
- Assess technical, economic, and logistical changes to ensure supply stability and quality compliance.
- Support phase-out processes, including last time buy decisions and long-term status monitoring.
- Active tracking of health status of products by defining, calculating, evaluating and presenting of relevant KPI’s
- More than 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor degree or higher in economics with technical background or technical degree with economics additions, such as industrial engineering.
- Proven Project Management experience: leading projects of medium complexity, global impact, best in regulated businesses.
- Experience in globally active companies is an advantage.
- Advanced skills in SAP system.
- Strong applied skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
