We are seekinga highly motivated and experienced Operational Excellence Buyer with a strategic focus on driving processes excellence and digital transformation within the procure-to-pay (P2P) flow. In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvements and executing the digital procurement strategy to ensure a lean and compliant P2P flow.

This role requires a process mindset and excellent analytical, procurement, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to shift between data, strategy, and execution. The Operational Excellence Buyer will be working at a corporate level, in close collaboration with local offices. You will get the opportunity to help build a strong, future-proof global procurement organization.

What you will do

  • Procure-to-pay excellence: drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across the P2P cycle by actively identifying and implementing improvement initiatives
  • Digital procurement: lead and support the implementation and adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance procurement operations and reporting capabilities; further automate P2P and contract management flows
  • Stakeholder management: partner with different departments such as finance, IT, supplier quality, and local offices to understand current and future business needs
  • Supplier management: coordinate specific P2P improvement initiatives with suppliers, in collaboration with P2P stakeholders; reduce the number of suppliers and consolidate purchases across global locations
  • Data analysis and reporting: utilize procurement data and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders; establish more robust KPIs and scorecards
  • Compliance and risk management: ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices within procurement processes
  • Training and knowledge sharing: support stakeholders in understanding P2P systems, tools, and workflows while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Problem-solving and issue resolution: act as the primary point of contact for resolving procurement-related operational issues and escalations
  • This role reports to the Global Procurement Director and coaches purchasing team members

Your profile

  • Strong analytical and hands‑on problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making
  • Experienced building Power BI dashboards
  • Experience with lean methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of P2P process flows and strong experience with P2P improvement initiatives through continuous improvement, automation, and digitalization
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners
  • Master’s degree with proven track record in procure‑to‑pay excellence and digital tools at a global level
  • You enjoy working on a wide variety of initiatives, shifting between processes, data, strategy, and execution
  • You are an ambassador for the procurement organization, generating overall cost awareness and supplier engagement, and you help educate business partners in procurement processes and procedures
  • You are well aware of the mechanisms of supply chain management and the role of procurement in the E2E supply chain process
  • Procurement process development and implementation skills — you take initiative if you come across room for standardization in procurement processes on a local/regional/global level
  • Fluent spoken and written English
