The position

As we continue to grow our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in offshore wind, we now have a requirement for an Operation & Maintenance Lead to join the business on an initial one-year secondment to Sassnitz, Germany. During this secondment, you will be supporting O&M activities as Operation & Logistics Engineer for Arkona Offshore Wind Farm operated by our Partner – RWE - the largest wind farm in the Baltic Sea located 35 kilometres northeast of the island of Rügen.

During this secondment, you will gain valuable experience which will afterwards and on your return to Poland, be utilized for the creation of the O&M strategy and building up the Equinor Poland team and processes for Polish Baltic Sea Offshore Windfarms (Bałtyk II and III). You will, upon your return to Poland, become an integral part of Equinor Operations & Maintenance senior team.



By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Join the Arkona Offshore Wind Farm in Sassnitz, Germany, for one year where you will be part of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) team and take on the position as Operations and Logistics Engineer.
  2. Gain valuable experience and exposure to later be utilized for the creation of the O&M strategy for Polish Baltic Sea Offshore Windfarms (Baltyk II and III), as well as contributing to growing the team designing its processes and procedures.
  3. During the secondment, deliver a continuous monitoring of Arkona Offshore Wind Farm O&M activities performed by Service Provider on site in close collaboration with operations personnel on a daily basis.
  4. Create periodic reports presenting results of observations, proposals of improvements, and all other conclusions made regarding Offshore Wind Farm O&M processes.
  5. Lead discussions between Service Providers and Company regarding potential improvements and optimization of: planning, coordination, and performing service activities on site.
  6. Support implementation and utilization of the agreed improvements for offshore wind turbines and BoP (Balance of Plant) infrastructure maintenance processes into Equinors Polish Bałtyk offshore wind portfolio.
  7. Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as and when required.


You

  1. Experience in leading operations and maintenance, or construction activities in the wind sector, ideally within offshore wind; however, onshore wind experience will also be considered.
  2. Strong interest in renewable energy and modern team management methodologies.
  3. An individual focused on cooperation and teamwork, and who is able to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  4. A strong commercial acumen and business mindset.
  5. Fluency in English and Polish; German language skills are beneficial but not essential.
  6. A willingness to relocate to Germany for the duration of the secondment, which is expected to be 1 year.
