As an Ocean Freight Specialist at DP World in Gdansk, Poland, you’ll be at the heart of our regional freight forwarding operations, driving innovation and excellence. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and optimizing freight operations while working closely with leaders across the region to develop and enhance their teams. Responsibilities:

1. Manage file creation and all services associated with freight forwarding and logistics.
2. Assist with account start-up. Liaison with sales to ensure required documentation/information needed for the SOP are provided.
3. Monitor/audit files weekly for compliance of estimate input, profit margin setting and timely invoicing.
4. Assist clients in their day by day requests related to export/import documentation in order to ensure proper execution to the transportation files.
5. Provide clients with complete air transportation details in order to ensure proper flow in information is guaranteed.
6. Liaise with Ocean lines in order to procure the best possible solutions (capacity and cost) to be utilized upon execution of transportation files.
7. Liaise with DPW internal Network and external Partner Agents in order to guarantee the best possible service assistance.
8. Act quickly upon possible emergency situations that may arise within the life of an Ocean file.
9. Network with your fellow Operations colleagues to ensure proper support is given in case of workflow overload.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Degree in logistics/supply chain or a similar discipline.
2. Minimum 2 years experience in Freight Forwarding industry with a focus on Ocean Freight.
3. Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives, ensuring that the Countries get things right the first time through questioning, analyzing, planning and follow-up.
4. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
5. Intermediate computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
6. Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail.
7. Excellent command in both English and Polish.
