Job Description:

Our Customer is looking for an Observability Engineer. Applicants from other parts of Poland must agree to travel to 2-3 days to Krakow for this role.

Background check: required pre-onboarding

Technical Requirements



  1. Professional Experience:
    • Over 2 years of hands-on experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, and ThousandEyes.
    • Familiarity with REST APIs and the ability to develop Monitoring Extensions is highly advantageous.
    • At least 2 years of enterprise-level application development experience in Java is a plus.
  2. Technical Expertise:
    • 2 years of experience with diverse technology stacks, including Java application servers, web servers, Golang, Kubernetes, OpenShift, PCF, AWS, and Google Cloud, is desirable.
    • Strong understanding of cloud concepts (AWS, GCP) and AI/ML technologies is highly preferred.
    • Experience with tools like ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of event management tools and automation solutions like AIOps is desirable.
  3. Monitoring and Observability:
    • Proven experience in creating and supporting monitoring dashboards.
    • Expertise in monitoring and observability practices, covering server and network performance, hardware, web synthetics, and application performance monitoring for Unix and Oracle databases.
    • Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  4. Distributed Service Design:
    • Practical understanding of distributed service design, including messaging protocols, caching strategies, and autonomous software design principles.
  5. Performance Metrics:
    • Solid knowledge of application performance metrics, KPIs, statistical calculations, machine learning, and data correlation.
    • At least 2 years of experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) in deploying mission-critical applications.
  6. Soft Skills and Process Knowledge:
    • Capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks, and taking ownership of project components.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with business stakeholders and technical teams.
    • Understanding of end-to-end business and functional processes within specific industry verticals to translate business requirements into system requirements and conduct impact analysis.
  7. Documentation Skills:
    • Proficiency in technical writing for areas such as queries, reports, and presentations.
