Our client is an international company developing projects and providing asset management services for clients in the renewable energy sector. We are now looking to build their O&M department in Poland and looking for the key person to head it ideally based in Warsaw or in the North-Eastern Part of Poland. As you will be in touch with the HQ of the company abroad a communicative level of English is necessary in this position.
Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities
Asset Monitoring & Performance Optimisation
- Actively monitor solar PV and battery storage systems using advanced data analytics and remote monitoring platforms.
- Identify performance anomalies, trends, and potential system failures before they impact operations.
- Generate monthly monitoring reports, highlighting key performance metrics, energy generation, downtime, and areas for improvement.
- Provide data-driven insights to optimise system efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Work closely with data specialists to refine monitoring techniques and improve predictive maintenance strategies.
Maintenance & System Optimisation
- Develop and implement preventive and planned maintenance schedules to ensure optimal asset performance.
- Coordinate and oversee routine inspections, servicing, and upgrades of solar and battery systems.
- Work with technicians and third‑party contractors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, component replacements, and performance trends.
Incident Response & Call Coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for system faults and emergencies.
- Take calls and coordinate call‑outs to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Dispatch and manage field service teams, ensuring effective communication and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with clients and technicians to provide remote troubleshooting support and solutions.
RMA Process & Warranty Claims
- Manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process for faulty or underperforming components.
- Handle warranty claims with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring timely replacements and repairs.
- Maintain a detailed record of warranty‑covered components and ensure compliance with manufacturer policies.
- Work with procurement and inventory teams to manage spare parts and replacement stock efficiently.
Client Support & Remote Assistance
- Assist clients remotely with troubleshooting system issues before escalating to on‑site intervention.
- Provide expert guidance on system performance and maintenance best practices.
- Ensure a seamless client experience by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Job requirements
- 3 to 5 years experience in solar PV and battery storage operations & maintenance.
- Strong data analysis skills with expertise in using monitoring platforms and performance analytics tools.
- Technical knowledge of inverters, batteries, SCADA, EMS, and electrical systems.
- Proven ability to coordinate maintenance teams and manage third‑party service providers.
- Knowledge of warranty claims, RMA processes, and supply chain coordination.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and client support skills.
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations for renewable energy infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Certification in solar PV, battery storage, or electrical maintenance.
- Experience working with remote monitoring tools and SCADA/EMS systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools for performance monitoring.
