Job Description
Key Role:
The Project Director will participate in the development of the Nuclear Service Line in the Polish market.
- Support business development in coordination with the Business Development department.
- Contribute to developing Nuclear global offers.
- Develop core capabilities in France and in local entities to support development (General nuclear engineering, construction management, owner engineering).
The Project Director is responsible for managing a portfolio of medium-large nuclear projects and offers produced in a Polish or International context and involving multiple entities of the group. The Project Director manages the nuclear projects teams based in Poland.
Role In Business Development And Know-How Development
- Contribute to business development actions including bringing technical support during meetings with clients.
- Develop self-standing offers to be proposed to clients, in coordination with discipline leaders and group expertise, addressing opportunities identified by the business development team.
- Identify business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Develop core capabilities within nuclear SL according to the expertise of the selected candidate (design management, construction management, contract management).
Role in Developing Offers
To develop offers for the Polish and international nuclear market. Assess and control the budget and planning required to produce the offer, in accordance with the tender specifications.
- Identify technical competencies required for the offer and engage stakeholders to ensure efficient offer production.
- Lead and coordinate proposals, including technical teams, the tender unit, and the financial and legal departments both in Polish Egis entities and France.
- Ensure adequate levels of nuclear safety requirements are implemented in the offer.
- Identify and address specific needs of the client in cooperation with the business development team and nuclear management.
- Contribute to writing proposals for the chapters in the fields of expertise.
- Take ownership and ensure the global coherence of the offer, both on technical and financial aspects.
Role in Managing and Delivering the Projects
To manage the projects in portfolio and/or coordinate local production teams in coordination with the French discipline directors delivering for international projects.
- Ensure the initiation phase of the project.
- Develop project management plan and quality plan.
- Mobilize the project team and coordinate with global nuclear SL resources and the local sourcing unit.
- Prepare internal and external consortium/contractual agreements to deliver the project.
- Set all performance tasks required by the Performance Management System.
- Execute and monitor the project in accordance with the project management system.
- Ensure project delivery respects quality, cost, and schedule performance.
- Manage project risks.
- Manage delivery teams.
- Manage nuclear safety requirements and implement quality assurance and nuclear safety behavior within the teams.
- Manage changes and evolutions.
- Ensure right levels of financial indicators (Turnover, Profitability & cash flow).
- Manage contractual relationships with clients.
- Close the project.
- Close the contract from technical, legal, and financial aspects.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and will benefit future offers and projects for the Nuclear Service Line.
Leadership Style:
- Develop a strategic vision for the offers and projects produced, aligning with overall goals of the Nuclear Service Line & regional entities.
- Make informed and timely decisions that align with Service Line objectives, considering engineering, safety, and regulatory considerations.
- Maintain transparent and open communication with all stakeholders, including Nuclear Service Line Management and country Management.
- Participate in Nuclear Service Line international development and capitalization, including supporting other regions.
- Provide effective leadership to the offer and project team, fostering collaboration and a shared commitment to safety and quality.
Nuclear SL Guidance Implementation
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable nuclear regulations and standards, overseeing regulatory compliance in all nuclear engineering activities.
- Nuclear Safety Culture: Promote and sustain a robust nuclear safety culture within the engineering team, emphasizing the importance of safety in all aspects of ENEI operations.
- Contribute to capitalization: Collect and spread lessons learned from offers and projects through the capitalization process and team working.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Engineering.
- English language required, French is a plus.
- 15-20 years as a project manager in a nuclear context.
