Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and optimize the network environment (WAN, LAN, Wireless, Datacenter, Load balancing).
  2. Respond to and resolve network-related incidents quickly.
  3. Analyze and diagnose technical issues, identifying root causes.
  4. Provide advanced technical support to minimize downtime.
  5. Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure setups.
  6. Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to resolve incidents.
  7. Work in both cloud networking (Azure and AWS) and on-premises environments.

Proactive Workload:

  1. Assess and plan for future infrastructure needs.
  2. Identify areas for improvement within support processes.
  3. Oversee system upgrades and updates.
  4. Manage the life-cycle of network hardware.
  5. Participate in automation initiatives to streamline services.

Security & Compliance:

  1. Stay updated on security trends and technologies.
  2. Implement robust security measures (firewalls, encryption, VPN, access controls).

Collaboration & Support:

  1. Work with IT colleagues and business units to understand needs and provide solutions.
  2. Provide training and support to the Service Desk as part of the Shift-Left strategy.

Relationship Management:

  1. Collaborate with IT professionals such as Infrastructure Engineers, Security & Control Engineers, and Architects.
  2. Interact with middle management for technical issues and strategy discussions.
  3. Assist customers in determining the best solution technologies for business projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  2. Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
  3. 3+ years in IT and systems engineering or systems administration.
  4. Previous Level 2 or 3 hands-on support experience.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Experience with Microsoft 365 environments and network services dependencies.
  7. Proficiency in network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Automation experience in networking (e.g., PowerShell, automated profile network deployment).
