GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineering and Administration Support Specialist to support U.S. Army Europe as part of our EMITS Team in Bemowo Piskie, Poland (unaccompanied assignment).

HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER MAKES AN IMPACT

• Provides pro-active network management of switches routers, and other ancillary devices to ensure a constant state of readiness and availability.
• Ensures the network is properly configured and operating efficiently while maintaining constant network availability and 100% network uptime.
• Schedules and perform preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on a regularly scheduled basis and provide touch labor service support as needed.
• Assists the Outside Plant/Inside Plant Network Engineer with plant cable management for multiple network classifications.
• Assists the team with logistics support as required.
• Provides technical training, documentation, and technical assistance to Help Desk personnel and other organizations.
• Works closely with Help Desk personnel and vendors for upgrade/change device hardware and software.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Security Clearance Required: Secret Level Security Clearance
• Education: A BS/BA is preferred plus relevant and related military/government training and experience in network administration and engineer.
• Experience: 8+ years plus relevant and related military/government experience performing network engineering, and network and systems administration support is required.
• Certification: A current IAT II Certification is required at time of hire. A CCNP, CCDA, or CCDP or equivalent industry certification is required.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
