About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Murex Functional Consultant to join international team our client and support treasury transformation projects. In this role, you will act as a key link between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring smooth implementation and optimization of treasury systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from Front Office and other stakeholders, translating them into clear functional and technical specifications
  • Support treasury system users (Front, Middle, Back Office, and Risk) in defining, testing, and implementing new functionalities
  • Configure and validate Murex modules, including product setup, static and market data, and P&L calculations
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across IT, Risk, Finance, and Front/Back Office areas in multiple geographies
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Investigate and resolve incidents or functional issues within the Murex platform to ensure continuity of operations
  • Contribute to project governance and PMO activities, including reporting, documentation, and presentations for steering committees

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in treasury system projects or support, ideally with hands-on exposure to Murex
  • Strong functional knowledge of Murex (commodities or securities), including product configuration, static and market data, and P&L calculation
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and treasury operations, with a background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering and direct interaction with Front Office teams
  • Ability to manage or support multidisciplinary projects across IT, Risk, Finance, and Operations
  • Project Management/PMO skills (planning, tracking, stakeholder reporting)
  • High analytical capacity, proactive mindset, and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience in multi-country or regional projects within banking or corporate environments
  • Familiarity with other treasury and risk management systems
  • Exposure to commodities trading workflows or corporate & investment banking products (CIB)
  • Experience collaborating with senior management or participating in steering committees
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, PMI, PRINCE2)
