Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing efficient database structures and schemas that meet the application requirements.
• Understanding the business needs and data models, and translating them into well-designed database objects.
• Analyzing query execution plans, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations like index creation, query rewriting, and performance tuning.
• Developing, introducing, and providing standard procedures and concepts for the database products according to existing specifications.
• Implementation of quality assurance and optimization measures (failover tests, etc.).
• Providing 2nd & 3rd level support in case of disruptions of the product operation for the database products and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining proper documentation of the database design, schema, and changes made to the database objects.

Requirements:

• A good specialist in MSSQL and a developer.
• Programming and maintenance of the SCOM interface.
• The archiving tool is a must: TSM / IBM Spectrum Protect.
• On-call during nights and weekends for support.
• Experience with Hashicorp code is preferred but not mandatory.
