Job Description:

Project - the aim youll have:

Our client is a leading Managed Service Provider supporting public institutions and the banking sector in the Netherlands. As part of our collaboration with one of their key clients – an insurance institution – we are building a dedicated maintenance team.

The team, composed of both Polish and Dutch specialists, is responsible for managing and developing a cloud environment based on the Azure platform. We are currently looking for a DB2 support specialist to join the team.

Position - how youll contribute:

  • SME is responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for LUW DB2.
  • Manage L2/L3 production/project support activities.
  • This also includes the initial installation or update, patching, migration for these platforms.
  • Responsible for script development/update in different scripting (Shell and Perl).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience or familiar on tools like ticketing and monitoring tools.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring the team members.
  • Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends.
  • Involved in Routine Operational support and troubleshooting.

Expectations - the experience you need:

  • Extensive experience as a DB2 Database Administrator, preferably with DB2 version 11.1 or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows-based database environments and Azure hosting.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Upgrading and patching DB2.
    • Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
    • Configuration and disaster recovery management.
  • Running SQL queries and scripts for functional and operational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including developers, users, and delivery managers.
  • Familiarity with database security best practices, including access control implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
