We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commodity Buyer to join our innovative and fast-paced Tenneco team.

Working mode: 3/2 HO/week

Location: Gliwice, Poland

As a Senior Commodity Buyer, you will lead strategic sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of key commodities, ensuring cost-efficiency, supply chain resilience, and high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee sourcing, supplier selection, RFIs/RFQs, and contract finalization.
• Develop commodity sourcing strategies aligned with company goals.
• Assess and build long-term supplier partnerships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical and quality standards.
• Drive cost optimization and supplier performance improvements.
• Monitor market trends and supply chain risks.
• Negotiate pricing and terms for optimal value.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance reviews.
• Support new product introductions and sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Travel as needed for supplier visits and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of procurement experience in the automotive industry.
• Expertise in automotive commodities, market trends, and supplier management.
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
• Fluency in English.

Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of BOMs, MRP, IATF 16949, and automotive standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering specs and materials.
