Your part will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance of critical Middleware MQ services, which underpin numerous strategic applications and data flows. A core responsibility is maintaining a high-availability environment for these business-critical services.
responsibilities :
MQ Software Management: Handling the installation, configuration, package management, upgrades, fixpack application, and general maintenance of the MQ environment
MQ Flow Definition: Creating and configuring MQ objects essential for proper data flow functionality
SSL Security Administration: Possessing expertise in SSL architecture and the procedures for certificate renewal
Pub/Sub Configuration: Knowledge of and ability to configure publish/subscribe messaging topologies
Troubleshooting & Support: Actively assisting development teams and MQ clients in resolving ongoing technical issues
Network Security Configuration: Managing BlockIP configurations, including whitelist creation
Production Change Implementation: Planning and executing changes and interventions within the production environment
On-Call Support: Participating in a 24/7 technical support service
Remote Administration Tools: Proficiently utilizing remote MQ administration tools such as Appwatch, MVMA, and MQExplorer
Monitoring Tool Management: Configuring and operating the QPASA monitoring tool (BMC)
Solace Technology Fundamentals: Basic understanding of Solace technology concepts
requirements-expected :
5+ years of experience in the IT industry
Demonstrated experience in administering IBM MQ systems
Expertise in working with high-availability environments and advanced user skills in Linux/Windows environments (administrative skills for operating systems are not required)
Global infrastructure knowledge, including clustering, storage, networking, and operating systems
Scripting capabilities for automation and familiarity with Ansible or similar tools
