Duties and responsibilities 

  • Work with Stakeholders to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for an effective monitoring system 
  • Research new use cases and design usage of monitoring tools to achieve requirements 
  • Implement new monitoring solutions 
  • Create/maintain scripts that collect monitoring data and task automation 
  • Perform maintenance (version upgrades, configuration changes) on monitoring environment 
  • Documentation of the environment as well as created solutions and notifications 


Professional competencies 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or another educational degree/certificate in an information technology related field with equivalent work experience  
  • 3+ years of experience 
  • Strong experience with Linux and Windows 
  • Strong technical knowledge in at least two of the following programming languages: Python, Bash, Perl, Powershell
  • Monitoring experience with open-source monitoring tools, like Nagios, CheckMK, Zabbix 
  • Experience building analytics dashboards using data visualization, like Grafana, Kibana, etc. 
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in English (at least B2)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a multi-task environment in a global team  
  • Responding with a sense of urgency 
  • Ability to co-operate with a variety of people and achieve results 
  • Experience writing documentation
