About Our Client

For our client, which focuses on designing and manufacturing innovative home appliances that enhance everyday living, we are seeking a new team member to join a newly formed team dedicated to developing mobile solutions used worldwide.

Job Description

Team Management (60%):

• Lead and provide mentorship to a team of iOS and Android developers (approximately 6 direct reports).
• Collaborate with our US-based team to define and implement the teams technical direction, ensuring alignment with overall product objectives.
• Promote a culture of teamwork and innovation within the group.
• Offer technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members.
• Oversee team performance by setting clear goals, delivering constructive feedback, and managing performance evaluations.
• Attract and recruit top-tier talent to enhance the teams capabilities.

• Actively participate in technical projects, primarily focusing on iOS or Android app development.
• Design, build, and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Product, Firmware, and Cloud engineering, to drive project success.
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in mobile app development.

The Successful Applicant

• Proven track record as a Tech Lead or in a similar leadership role in mobile development.
• 5+ years of experience in directly managing teams.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to motivate and guide teams effectively.
• Deep understanding of iOS and/or Android development, including architecture, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as SwiftUI and/or Jetpack Compose, along with tools like Hilt and Coroutines.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fluency in English.

• Experience leading remote or distributed teams.
• Familiarity with BLE technology and hardware integrations.
• Expertise in optimizing mobile app performance and conducting testing.
