About the project
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who will take part in designing, developing, testing and integrating advanced security mechanisms for Android based systems, including solutions built on AOSP and GrapheneOS. You will work on system level features such as profile isolation, SELinux hardening, TrustAgent, KeyStore and KeyMint, Verified Boot, secure hardware components and mobile threat protection. This role combines architecture, system development and security engineering. You will also collaborate with teams working on computer vision, machine learning and edge AI capabilities.
Location: Warszawa, work from the office
Your responsibilities
- Design and development of system level components for Android, AOSP and GrapheneOS
- Build and integrate security mechanisms such as SELinux, Verified Boot, KeyStore, KeyMint, TrustAgent and secure profile isolation
- Develop and maintain system services using Java, Kotlin and C++
- Work with hardware backed security features and trusted execution components
- Perform debugging and system analysis using Android debugging tools
- Implement scripts and automation using Python or Bash
- Integrate system level security with CV, ML and edge AI modules
- Prepare documentation and participate in system architecture decisions
- Cooperate closely with security teams, hardware teams and mobile developers
Our requirements
- Strong experience with AOSP development or deep Android system internals
- Knowledge of GrapheneOS or similar hardened systems
- Experience with Java, Kotlin and C++ at system level
- Understanding of SELinux policies, Verified Boot, KeyStore, KeyMint and TrustAgent
- Experience with debugging tools such as ADB, logcat, GDB, systrace or perf
- Solid understanding of mobile security concepts and hardware integration
- Experience with Python or Bash for automation
- Ability to design secure system architectures and components
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work full time from our Warsaw office
Optional
- Experience with secure hardware, TEE, HSM or chip level integrations
- Background in computer vision, machine learning or edge AI
- Familiarity with OTA update systems and secure boot chains
- Experience with custom ROM development
- Knowledge of CI pipelines for AOSP based builds
