Mobile Mechanical Engineer – London & South East England.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management and building services company. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of mechanical maintenance and repair tasks across a portfolio of commercial buildings. This is a mobile role with a company van and fuel card provided, offering great earning potential through regular overtime and weekend work.

Location: London & South East England

Salary: £45,000 + van & fuel card + overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across commercial sites.
• Work on plumbing systems, fan coil units (FCUs), pumps, valves, and pipework.
• Maintain and service plant rooms, hot and cold-water systems, and HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively.
• Support with installation and upgrade works when required.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients and colleagues professionally to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

• Recognised mechanical or plumbing qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds).
• Proven commercial maintenance experience – essential.
• Good working knowledge of building services systems and plant rooms.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with hot and cold water systems, FCUs, and general plumbing.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
