We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Art Director to lead and execute the artistic vision and UI design for our mobile games. This role requires a hands‑on approach, as you will be responsible for creating and delivering all assets—from low‑fidelity wireframes to high‑fidelity UI designs. You will manage a two‑person team and drive the entire artistic process to ensure a cohesive and visually stunning gaming experience. You will also work closely with Product Managers and the IT team to create engaging, visually compelling mobile gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the artistic vision for mobile games, ensuring alignment with the overall game design.
- Create and deliver all UI designs, from low‑fidelity prototypes to high‑fidelity assets, along with other necessary game visuals.
- Manage the art pipeline from initial concepts to the production of in‑game assets, with a focus on mobile optimization.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and immersive visuals.
- Take ownership of the entire artistic process, handling both conceptual and production tasks directly.
- Adapt to the changing needs and dynamics of a small, fast‑paced team environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven expertise in digital drawing and illustration.
- Over 5 years of experience in game art pipelines, from concept to in‑game assets, with a focus on mobile optimization.
- At least 5 years of hands‑on experience as a UI/UX or graphic designer in the mobile gaming industry.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience developing artistic vision concepts for mobile games.
- Proficiency in key software, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Blender, Unity, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Strong knowledge of optimizing assets for mobile performance, including textures and shaders.
- A portfolio showcasing shipped mobile game titles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong self‑organization and time‑management abilities.
- Flexibility and openness to the evolving dynamics of a small team.
- Advanced proficiency in Polish and fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- A portfolio demonstrating UX flow, from low‑fidelity to high‑fidelity concepts.
- Experience working in start‑up environments.
- Basic animation skills, including familiarity with animation tools to enhance interactivity and storytelling in user experiences.
- A passion for working in a collaborative, small‑team setting.
