As a Migration Technical Leader for our client, you will play a pivotal role in a major data center migration program, overseeing the migration of numerous business applications to a new infrastructure. These applications span various technologies, including real-time systems, batch processing, and integration platforms. You will lead efforts to explore the existing state, define migration strategies, prepare deployment architectures, and manage seamless transitions to the target environment. Your work will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery in a complex IT landscape.
Warsaw based opportunity with the possibility to work in hybrid model - 4 days per week at the office.
responsibilities :
Lead the migration of applications within assigned “baskets” as part of a data center migration program
Explore and document the “as-is” state of applications and infrastructure
Define migration goals, strategies, and transformation levels for applications
Design target deployment architectures and document migration plans
Adapt, refactor, and test application code for target architecture compatibility
Specify and build new environments (DEV, QA, UAT, CAT, PROD, DR) in target data centers
Coordinate with teams to address firewall, load balancing, middleware, and database requirements
Develop documentation to communicate solutions and migration approaches
Perform testing, including PEN testing, and ensure internal and external certifications
Oversee production migrations and decommission old environments
requirements-expected :
Experience leading similar roles or projects involving application migrations or re-deployments
Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (Polish is a plus)
Ability to collaborate with application SMEs and absorb technical knowledge quickly
Practical experience in documenting architecture and design with cross-functional teams
Comprehensive knowledge of IT technologies, middleware, and application deployment in cloud environments like AWS or Azure
Understanding of availability, performance, monitoring, and resilience in transaction systems
Familiarity with infrastructure concepts such as networking, load balancing, and TLS
Strong independence, goal orientation, and commitment to product quality
Experience in fostering collaboration and building strong relationships within teams
Knowledge of transaction acquiring and card issuer services (advantageous)
