The Migration Lead will oversee and manage the complete end-to-end migration process for transitioning data, applications, or systems from legacy platforms to modern environments. • Develop and manage a migration strategy aligned with organizational and technical goals.
• Identify key milestones, timelines, and resources required for a successful migration.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to ensure alignment with migration objectives.
• Create detailed migration plans, including risk management, rollback procedures, and contingency measures.
• Work with stakeholders to gather business needs, technical requirements, and constraints for the migration process.
• Analyze existing systems and data structures to identify dependencies and potential challenges.
• Document all requirements to guide the design and development of the migration process.
• Lead the design, development, and customization of migration tools specific to project needs.
• Evaluate existing migration tools and recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and performance.
• Collaborate with software developers and technical teams to ensure migration tools meet industry standards.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
• Design and implement testing protocols to validate the migration’s accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and resolve issues before going live.
• Document testing results and issue resolutions to maintain transparency.
• Lead the execution of the migration, coordinating with technical teams to ensure smooth and timely transitions.
• Monitor migration progress and address any issues that arise.
• Ensure data, applications, and systems are migrated accurately and securely with minimal disruption to operations.
• Provide post-migration support for issue resolution and further optimizations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all migration-related activities, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to senior management, outlining key achievements and areas of concern.
• Facilitate regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.

Our requirements

• Experience in End-to-End Migration: Strong expertise in migration processes and tools (e.g., 1SP to GSD/1A).
• Migration Tools Proficiency: Experience with migration platforms such as Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, or custom migration tools.
• IT Project Management: Proven skills in planning, risk management, and minimizing business disruption (knowledge of Agile/PRINCE2 methodologies).
• Data Security Knowledge: Familiarity with data security and privacy protocols during migrations.
• Leadership Experience: Ability to lead a team and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills with experience reporting to senior management and facilitating meetings.
