Working with the Middleware Webhosting team, you will build and provide support for a variety of app hosting/web hosting and related services. The role resides within the Citi Technology Infrastructure structure.
We are involved in all aspects of planning, building, and ongoing maintenance of the Middleware Web and App hosting infrastructure. The role will also provide exposure to communication with both technical and non-technical staff.
Contribute to both BAU (business as usual) support and delivery of Business and Technology driven projects through the installation, support, and management of web hosting products.
Fix, resolve, and oversee app hosting/web hosting related incidents.
Provide root-cause analysis for issues or web/app hosting related incidents and problems.
Play a can-do role in process improvement within the team, along with supporting decent quality documentation of our standard processes.
Provide 24x7 on-call support as 3rd line for critical Production systems based on team rotation schedule.
Do you like scripting? We like it too! You will have a chance to practice or learn scripting.
Ability to communicate well across all levels (written and verbally) in English.
Experience with at least 2-3 of the following products: Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere ND, Tomcat, OHS (Oracle HTTP Server), IHS (IBM HTTP Server), nginx, IIS (Internet Information Services).
Good knowledge of UNIX/LINUX or WINDOWS SERVER.
Familiarization with customer service techniques and the principles of ITIL.
Optional: Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, PCF, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes can be a great advantage.
Optional: Ansible, Java, Python, PowerShell scripting can be an advantage.
BSc/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
