We’re opening the position of a Middle Strong / Senior Java Developer to join the new team of our Customer. The customer provides SaaS solutions that help companies to optimize their business. This solution includes business planning to automate and optimize business, delivery, and workflow solutions. The platform leverages industry-leading artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for better prediction and prevention of disruptions across businesses.

Responsibilities:

1. Work together with our Project Managers and Engineers to advance our Data Science products
2. Design and develop data-intensive distributed systems in Java
3. Leverage Microsoft Azure cloud service to build a scalable platform responsible for data ingestion and workload distribution
4. Develop user-facing features, design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
5. Work in an Agile team with an emphasis on quality, testability, and automation
6. Identify root causes of issues and take the lead in resolving them to enhance system stability and reliability
7. Optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient builds
8. Conduct benchmark analyses and implement strategies to drive performance enhancements
9. Understand the broader problem domain and collaborate with Platform, Product, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and solution effectiveness

Requirements:

1. 4+ years of experience as a Java Developer
2. Experience with a cloud environment like Azure or AWS
3. Experience with SaaS methodologies, Microservices Architecture in particular
4. Knowledge of REST APIs and Kafka
5. Experience with CI/CD systems
6. Experience with Kubernetes
7. Expertise in performance benchmarking, identifying hotspots, and implementing measures to optimize system performance
8. Understanding and ability to apply in practice OOP and SOLID principles
9. A passion for continuous learning and development, coupled with eagerness to explore synergies across domains and stay at the forefront of new technologies
10. Knowledge of Scrum (Agile)
11. English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher

Will be a plus:

1. Experience with Quarkus
2. Understanding of logistics to solve complex problems and build robust solutions for supply chain challenges
