Our client is a multi-brand retailer based in Montreal, Canada specializing in the sale of designer fashion and high-end streetwear. It was founded as an e-commerce platform in 2003.

Our client is looking for a Mid+/Sr Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing technology team. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to knowledge dissemination within the organization and participate in the recruiting and onboarding of new employees.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
2. Strong SQL skills
3. Experience in Data warehouse building (Dimensional modeling or other)
4. Proficient with ETL job development, deployment, and support throughout their lifecycle
5. Hands-on work with AWS and good knowledge of its sub-components and services
6. Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark
7. Experience with AWS services: S3, Step Function, Lambdas, Glue, Redshift, Athena, QuickSight, CloudFormation
8. Nice-to-have experience: Jupyter, Docker, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Airflow
9. Experience with Agile projects
10. Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
11. Perfect communication and cooperation skills
12. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
13. Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
14. Advanced English
15. A degree in CS/Math/technical qualification

Job Responsibilities:

1. You will be a part of a distributed Data Engineering Agile team and will communicate directly with colleagues from other geographies
2. Locally, you will be part of the scrum team
3. As a developer, you will analyze and detail requirements, design, document, build, test, and deploy the software product
4. Together with your team, you’ll carry responsibility for the product quality and stability in production
5. You will participate in standard development practices (code review, unit tests, design review, etc.) and SCRUM ceremonies
