At Finalyse Managed Services, we have been valuing derivatives and structured products since 2008 and we are responsible for market data collection, products configuration in our internal solution and reporting to the clients.


Currently, we look for a Medior Python Data Engineer to strengthen our team and we propose a fixed-term B2B or Umowa o Pracę contract with potential conversion to a permanent contract.


ABOUT THE JOB


Project description: As a Python Data Engineer at Finalyse, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data infrastructure and data pipelines. You will work closely with quants, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data systems are robust, scalable, and efficient.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and related technologies.
  • Optimize and improve existing data workflows and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with quants and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and inconsistencies.
  • Document data processes, workflows, and systems.

 

REQUIREMENTS


Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and its data processing libraries (preferred libraries include Pandas, NumPy, Airflow).
  • Familiarity with database systems (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy).
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD (preferably with GitLab CI/CD).
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architectures.
  • Experience in working with Docker.
  • Solid knowledge of Domain Driven Design and best software development practices.
  • Proficiency in OOP and test-driven development.


Nice to have (optional):

  • Experience in working with and developing REST APIs (preferably via FastAPI library).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure (including Microsoft Azure DevOps Server) or AWS.
  • Experience with ML models training and deployment.
  • Familiarity with C#.
  • Familiarity with Graylog or ELK.
  • Experience with CI/CD for databases.
  • Experience in working with financial market data or financial products, especially derivatives.        
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven at least 2-years experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

 

Communication and Teamwork:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and participate in code reviews, discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Good knowledge of the English language. It is a must as it is our everyday language.
