Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your career in the Medical Department? Join us as a MSL in the Immunology and Transplant therapeutic areas and take the opportunity to develop our patient-oriented therapies in this area.
The MSL establishes Takeda’s medical affairs presence with external stakeholders through scientific exchange, insight collection, and research support. This role is the field-based therapeutic area (TA) expert responsible for execution of the TA specific medical plan in the field, by establishing, developing, and fostering relationships with key external stakeholders.
As a Medical/Scientific Liaison (MSL) working as a part of the cross-functional team, you will be empowered to:
- Provide field-based support for the medical function to achieve the company’s goals.
- Identify and develop strong, sustainable peer-to-peer relationships with external stakeholders to support the medical/scientific credibility of the company.
- Be a medical contact person for the medical community in Neuroscience throughout Poland.
Main accountabilities include:
Medical Affairs
- Use specific disease and product knowledge to develop Takeda in each therapy area.
- Answer medical/technical unsolicited inquiries from HCPs.
- Provide accurate and non-promotional scientific information relating to licensed and unlicensed indications following unsolicited requests from HCPs.
- Continuously screen, review, and analyze scientific literature; generate summaries & critical assessments if appropriate.
- Participate in the development and implementation of key medical activities (e.g. Advisory boards, medical education, and peer-to-peer training activities).
- Provide clinical presentations and medical information as necessary.
- Act as field-based reference points of scientific and clinical expertise for sales force and other internal stakeholders (e.g. Market Access) through training and ad-hoc support, in alignment with Takeda project teams.
Gathering insights from HCPs include:
- Proactive identification and development of long-term peer-to-peer relationships with opinion leaders and other relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and to present medical data in the most efficient way.
- Capturing and sharing in-field insights to support medical and scientific strategy and business development.
Evidence generation
- Support ongoing and future Company Sponsored Studies i.e. provides LOC review of proposed CRO site lists, attendance at Global/Regional Investigator Meetings.
- Attend motivational site visits, provide site/investigator feedback to clinical operations etc. following the appropriate request from Global Development Operations and inform other LOC functions on progress in site involvement process in a timely manner.
- Facilitate unsolicited requests from HCPs for investigator-initiated sponsored research proposals through engagement with Global External Research on IISR proposals and on Medical Affairs Company Studies (MACS).
- Support national disease registries and RWE projects for relevant disease areas.
- Understand leverage points of the patient journey.
What you should bring:
- University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or in related area (e.g. Biology, Biotechnology).
- Proven ability to think cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical capabilities, well organized and resourceful.
- Strong business acumen.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of multitasking and delivering results in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build cross-cultural relationships and cooperate with mutual respect with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in multichannel communication and digital approach.
