Position: Medical Affairs Manager
Location: Warsaw
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain medical/scientific expertise for the respective product and therapeutic area
- Contribute medical expertise to design and approval of medical and marketing materials and ensure compliance with local legal regulations and internal Standard Operating Procedures
- Plan, execute and monitor the effectiveness of local medical activities
- Identify, interact and engage with EEs, clinicians, scientific societies and other data‑driven stakeholders to understand and satisfy Boehringer Ingelheim and customer needs and drive awareness for company products in the academic and clinical community
- Lead medical projects (e.g. national symposia, advisory board meetings)
- Drive Medico‑Marketing interaction and cooperation, and co‑create and execute Integrated Brand Plan (IBP) and Integrated Customer Plan (ICP) while using all classical and innovative communication channels such as digital channels
- Plan, initiate and conduct generation and collection of Real World Data generated through Medical Affairs programs such as non‑interventional studies, non‑trial activities, IIS or compassionate use programmes
- Interact with other stakeholders such as scientific societies, regulatory authorities, patient organisations
- Comply with respective company SOPs concerning areas of responsibility such as: reporting of ADRs, pharmacovigilance procedures in different Med Aff projects, MLR activities for promotional and non‑promotional material
- Be able to act as a therapeutic area expert on behalf of the company, demonstrating the ability to be perceived as a peer colleague for external experts, while closely cooperating with cross‑functional colleagues and using the therapeutic area expertise to drive Medico‑Marketing cooperation and execution of activities planned in respective IBPs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry on a similar position or Medical Science Liaison position (preferably in pulmonology and/or rheumatology)
- Previous business background (sales/marketing) could be an asset
- University degree (preferably MD or equivalent) in medicine, pharmacy or other biological sciences
- Experience in the generation, publication and interpretation of scientific information into clinically relevant data according to evidence‑based medicine criteria
- Strong business mindset and thorough knowledge of marketing, external customer needs and compliance requirements, with the ability to understand both business and medical needs to create an effective Medico‑Marketing partnership
- Superior organisational, analytical, decision‑making skills with strategic capabilities
- Digital interest and experience in communication in a digital environment
- Strong lateral leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
