Join to apply for the Mechanical Team Leader role at Valeo at the Valeo plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice. We manufacture powertrain systems that support the reduction of fuel consumption and lower exhaust emissions, including starters, air throttles, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, electromechanical actuators, and innovative electric drives.
Responsibilities
- Managing a dedicated team of Mechanical Engineers, Technicians and Trainees;
- Building team strategy and developing team members;
- Enforcing standards for methodologies and product solutions;
- Allocating team staff to project activities;
- Proposing trainings and career evolutions with the support of management;
- Contact with customers and suppliers for specific project items;
- Responsible for design reviews and support of design calculations and simulations;
- Planning team resources for design activities of the project and managing CAD activities within the defined budget;
- Makes technical decisions for project design.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Min. 5 years of experience in mechanical design;
- Very good knowledge and experience of PLM and CATIA V5;
- Experience in the automotive industry;
- Ambitious, adaptable and positive personality with leadership skills;
- Ability to perform autonomously in multi-aspect missions;
- Fluent English;
- Problem solving and organizational skills.
