At Rockfin, in the Decentralized Energy Division, we develop advanced mechanical systems for the renewable energy sector, including: heat pumps, hydrogen and biogas equipment. We work every day on robust and innovative solutions to create together a better and cleaner future for our planet.
To support the growth of our international Heat Pumps Focus Group (within the Decentralized Energy Division) we are now looking for a new Mechanical Systems Engineer.

- Development of product technical documentation related to mechanical systems for reverse thermodynamic cycles and comprehensive of piping, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, others.
- Selection of components on the basis of the process design parameters and with the support of own calculations, catalogue reviews, iteration with suppliers.
- Verification of the selected solution by means of process thermodynamic and flow calculations.
- Support to the automation team, by understanding the interaction of the own scope of work with the other parts of the system and along the various operational phases (user productive operation needs, failure events, maintenance cases).
- Translation of clients and suppliers feedback into technical requirements applicable to the end product.
- Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering or in other field related to the chemical, process and energy industries.
- Good knowledge of technical concepts in the field of thermodynamics, hydraulics and heat transfer, including their application to common mechanical equipment such us valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, …
- Familiarity with industrial technical documentation (drawings, P&IDs, datasheets with process boundary conditions, component datasheets, mass and energy balances).
- Past experience in the field of mechanical design and calculation of piping systems and of mechanical equipment is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Past work experience in a similar industrial setup is appreciated and will be strongly rated, though it is not a must. This position is open to both young and very experienced engineers. The exact work scope will be discussed after the first interview depending on the specific candidate profile.
- Basic knowledge of English in spoken and written form is a must.
Project language for documentation and external communication is English. Daily work within the project team occurs both in English and in Polish.
The first interview will be in held in English and will focus on technical topics.
