Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards.
- Interact with engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing, and quality, promoting open and honest dialogue.
- Travel to manufacturing sites to gain practical knowledge of production.
- Improve manufacturability and technical robustness of assigned components through engineering analysis.
- Challenge entrenched processes and recommend improvements using engineering judgment.
- Execute technically complex projects to meet technical requirements and business goals under senior mentorship.
- Lead technical projects of low to moderate complexity through collaboration with field and industry experts.
- Support repair development, producibility improvements, hardware delivery, and vendor qualifications.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical attitude, including engineering tools and systems.
- Experience in a relevant engineering role, preferably in manufacturing support and LCE.
- MRB certification within the Mechanical Systems commodity.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Accountability and timely reporting.
- Open communication.
Desired Characteristics
- Previous experience designing aerospace components.
- Previous experience manufacturing aerospace components.
- Flexible and friendly approach to teamwork.
- Experience with Ansys and Unigraphics.
- Certification in ASME Y14 or practical experience with GD&T.
- Self‑starter with a passion for problem solving and mentoring.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
